A LITTLE OLD-FASHIONED.
I still believe in answering my own emails, getting to know the people I'm photographing, and being genuinely invested in your stories and your day.
Since picking up a camera in 2017, I've never been interested in making things feel overly polished or complicated. I like knowing what you're excited about, what decorations you spent all night DIY-ing and which aunt or uncle who will be the life of the party.
I'm drawn to photographs that feel lived-in: the wind carrying your train and veil, happy tears and genuine laughter.
Because beautiful photographs matter.
But so do the people that are in them.
Present in every moment, steady when we needed it most, and somehow capturing it all exactly as we remember our wedding day.

I'M SHAWNA.
Photographer, collector of books I'll absolutely read eventually, and person who will choose coffee over almost anything.
I'm married to Patrick, mom to our son, and outnumbered by two dogs who are pretty convinced the house belongs to them (it does).
When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm probably reading something involving morally questionable fae, dragons, or both. I have a completely reasonable amount of enthusiasm for ACOTAR and Fourth Wing, a slightly unhealthy obsession with Scotland, and enough tattoos that I've long since stopped pretending I'm going to "keep it minimal."
I also really like photos that feel real. A little movement, a little grain. Wind in your face, hair doing whatever the hell it wants. The photgraph where everyone is laughing and nobody is looking at the camera.
Basically, I'm probably not the photographer for everyone, and I'm totally ok with that.
But if you like your photographs with a little feeling, a little personality, and maybe a little chaos...let's be friends.
